Careers

As an alumnus, you can use our Employability and Careers Service even after you graduate. This can involve careers events or workshops, CV or interview advice as well as help from our Internships team.

Library

Anyone with an alumni card can access the Albert Sloman Library at our Colchester Campus and use over a million books and journals. If you live within 20 miles of Colchester, you can borrow up to five books for two weeks (alumni from further away can also borrow with written permission from the librarian).

iLab booking

Our fantastic iLab conference venue offers alumni a 10% discount on venue hire. Located at both Colchester and Southend, these facilities could be the perfect venue for your next corporate away day or brainstorming session.

Postgraduate discount

From 2013, we’re introducing new loyalty discounts for Essex graduates who apply for their first period of postgraduate study here.

The discount reduces the first year postgraduate tuition fee by:

• 33 per cent for Essex graduates who achieved a First;
• 25 per cent for Essex graduates who achieved a 2.1; or
• 10 per cent for Essex graduates who achieved a 2.2.
