Join us for the second event in our Essex in London series. We hope you'll be able join us for this fascinating series of events, exploring interesting subject matters in unique and renowned venues across London.

  • Panel discussion with our top academics in this field, followed by a networking, drinks reception
  • Hear from
    • Dr Michelle Taylor on the impact of climate change in Antarctica following her part in the Weddell Sea Expedition 2019;
    • Dr Matt Jones about his work on designing drought resilient crops which make more efficient use of available water resources in our ever-changing climate;
    • Essex alumnus, and CEO of the Institute of Physics, Professor Paul Hardaker who will give an overview of the physical context of this interesting topic
  • The evening will be chaired by Professor Graham Underwood, Executive Dean (Science and Health)
  • Alumni are entitled to one guest each
