Coming back to campus?

There’s lots to do! And here is just some of our favourites:

  • Visit the Alumni Relations Team (5N.7.6) and collect an alumni goody bag and campus map. We can also arrange a guided tour for you if you contact us in advance of your visit.
  • Go on a tree walk and enjoy our beautiful parkland.
  • How many of our 50th Anniversary plaques can you find? They’re located all over campus.
  • Visit our stunning eco-friendly Essex Business School with an indoor winter garden and grab a coffee at Bonds.
  • Look out for Campus Cat. He’s usually found roaming our Tony Rich Teaching Centre, North Towers or Sq 4.
  • Have lunch on our pie and mash bus - No.64.
  • Or if that doesn’t take your fancy try one of our many catering outlets.
  • See a play, enjoy some comedy or listen to some live music. Find out what’s on at our our Lakeside Theatre.
  • Visit one of our campus galleries - Art Exchange in Sq 5 or our ESCALA gallery space in our Silberrad Student Centre.
  • Enjoy Afternoon Tea at Wivenhoe House.
  • Visit the Albert Sloman Library - the famous paternoster lifts are still in use - as well as our impressive new library extension which opened in 2015.
  • Plan your own day - take a look at our campus map to start planning your visit.
